Is my toddler overtired

My DD is nearly 2. We have been having some napping issues for a few weeks. Sometimes she will initally settle okay and start dozing, only to wake a few mins later totally furious and opposed to sleep. Does this sound like I am not catching her in time and she is overtired? She is a child that has to be put to bed IYKWIM, she won't conk out somewhere is she is tired.

Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

She could be overtired, have you tried moving her nap a little earlier? The other thing it could be is her back teeth. Usually these come through between 2 and 2.5.

What time is her nap? Mine at this age were going to sleep at about 11.45 after lunch and sleeping for a couple of hours. How long is your DD awake before she naps?

Hmmm, she used to get up at 8am and would be asleep for her nap anywhere between 1 - 1.30pm. But more recently she has been getting up at 730 am and I have been trying to get her upstairs and starting settling around 1230pm. Maybe I need to just bring it a little earlier. Is it usual for their nap times to come forward?!

Naps are an entirely moveable feast depending on their developmental stage. I would definitely try bringing it forward a bit.

It can't do any harm I suppose! Will give it a try. Just when you think you have it sorted....
