OU maths, only level 1, but hard work and we'd had some difficult with bereavements and dd going off the rails a bit. I needed 30% in the last TMA, but got the date wrong, handed it in a week early only half done. So I figured that if I got full marks for what I had done I'd get 50%, but that if my average was around 75% when I did the whole of an assignment, then if I was really lucky I'd get 37% (don't quibble!) and then I'd pass as we had to get 30%.

As time went on and I revised this course in order to get to grips with it properly before I start the level 2 course in Oct, I became more and more convinced that I hadn't a hope. I had resigned myself to redoing this one alongside the next.

Results are out. I PASSED!!!!!!!!!!!! Not only that, but I got 46% for the TMA! Grin

Well done! It is great to pass especially when you are not expecting to.

Yay! I got my Ou computing results today too, still waiting on my maths (all level 2). Well done, it's hard but worth it!

Thanks, I feel I do deserve Wine though I think dh and dd probably deserve it more! Too right, gingergran, I think I was more delighted today than when I got my first degree!

How did you do, Penguins? Good luck for your maths - if it was MS221, that's the one I'll be starting in Oct. I gather that was quite hard (note the understatement!). I knew a couple of people doing my course who were doing that concurrently. I don't suppose you were affected by the cheating which went on this year?

Thanks, i got distinction for m263, level 3 for m255 (did bad in exam, assignments were fine).
Still waiting on ms221, but can't get distinction because of assignment results. I don't think there was cheating on that. I thought it was just mst121 which i assume you did? I did that last year. The exam for 221 was awful! Much worse than any maths exam I've done (i did Maths and further maths a-level just a few years ago).

Glad you did better than expected!

Well done!!! OU study is hard work.

CaptainHetty · 01/08/2012 11:45

Well done! Also got a pass on U116 yesterday. Now I just need to concentrate on finishing S104 before I start on Level 2 in November. It's always a huge relief to get the results out of the way :o

gingergran · 01/08/2012 17:35

i got a distinction in dse141 - very happy as had to drop my other course this year due to bad health and family issues so glad i carried out with this one. next one starts august 23 but is only 15 credits so hopefully not to much to do

chipmunksex · 01/08/2012 18:56

Well done all you lot. Grin

I got my mark back too; pass 2 in DD306 which I am very pleased with because I found the course Very hard work and would have dropped out if I could have afforded it!
