PE kits/bags?

Got to sort a PE Kit out for September for the first time (DD1 starting reception). The school were so disorganised and we didn't get any info till the last day of Nursery. I understand what they are asking for the kit, but it doesn't say anything about the bag. Does anybody know if schools want you to buy a proper "PE Bag" or if I can just use one of DDs rucksacks that she already has? I don't mind buying one as they are not expensive but just seems silly when we already have loads of bags and it would also mean DD would recognise her one more easily.

What does your child's school do?

DS1 has just finished reception and had a draw-string bag for his PE kit. I'm sure a bag you already have would be fine (especially as the school hasn't bothered to specify). It will be easier for them to find if it's not the same as all the others, and make sure it and its contents are named.

Our school uses draw string bags for P.E.

They have school ones or i think they are fine if you buy your own, but mostly people use the school branded ones. It was only £1.50.

I bought a drawstring bag from Ebay with my child's name printed on it, mainly because they are in a cloakroom of 90 children.

I wanted it to be easily recognisable because if they aren't hung up properly they get kicked accidently & end up far from their peg.

I believe it cost about £6.

Drawstring bags work better cos they fit on the peg more easily, backpacks tend to take up a lot of room, although we allow any bag at our school I do prefer the typical pe bag

Hi, I bought a drawstring bag for my son's PE kit and sewed a ribbon onto a corner so he knows it's his. I also sewed a ribbon on the handle of his bookbag so he could easily find it. Good luck with the new school x
