Word/Excel Table question for transcribed interviews

Hi
I am doing my dissertation and didnt realise i had only three weeks to get it completed and am in panic mode and have transcribed lots of interviews into word.

I would now like this info to sit within a table of some kind, this can be either excel or word -because i am utterly shit and didnt plan ahead before transcribing--.

What i would like is one row for each paragraph, so that I can insert a column to the left to code the information.

Does anyone know how to do this please?

I dont want to sit and copy/paste 55 pages of transcript, para by para into a table which is the only way i can work out how to do it!

(note to self, a) always set up a table first, b) dont ever do any more postgraduate study, and c) dont leave anything, if you do insanely decide to do more, until the last minute)

Thanks in advance Grin

I don't think there is any way apart from cutting and pasting in either Word or Excel unfortunately

My version of word allows convert text to table somewhere on the menus (sorry, on phone, so can't check which menu), google should help. Then you can add columns etc as you like.
Alternatively, create an empty table in a new doc, copy all your text (select all, copy) and paste into new table, paste option should allow you to merge it into table.

Word 2007 has an option to turn text into a table...
