Is there anything better than Fuzzis now?

Greetings fellow cloth lovers.

I have a sizeable stash of Fuzzibunz, the different sized ones, from when I had DD1 6 years ago. I used them with DD2 as well. I am now expecting DS, and want to use them again.

I found they were pretty good overall, and are still in excellent condition. I used microfibres cloths in them rather than the proper inserts. The only time I had a
Problem with leaks was overnight, so used disposables.

Can you convince me to buy an alternative nappy, or offer a better way of using what I already have? I do not want to be spending a fortune.

Many thanks for your time.

I got 20 cotton little lamb nappies in size 1 and 7 size one wraps for 57 pounds a few weeks ago. They were having a massive sale. The don't have that same special on anymore but they do now have 10 bamboo nappies for 35 pounds, which is a really good price. www.littlelambnappies.com/fb-the-sequel

I am planning on using them and Bum Genius nappies (had to get something all in one so DP can change nappies easily).

Maybe worth getting 10 of them for night time to avoid the leaks?

garden have you used them yet? I had a quick look at the little lamb ones and could consider them for overnight. Not sure I could use them all the time though.

I haven't used the size one Little Lamb nappies on a newborn or small baby but I have been using them for one of the little boys I childmind. He has been in them from 9 months until now (he is 2.3, size 2). They are good for day time but I can't comment about night time. His mum says she has had no problems. I have bought the Bum Genius nappies for night time and when out and about.

They are the only experience I have of reusables though. The other 4 munchkins I looked after were in disposables.

Thank you garden I have 'liked' the FB page, so if there is a good offer I may get a couple to try. I am tempted to get a couple of bigger ones to put on DD2 at night as I am going to be potty training her shortly. She is also 2.3. My elder DD was in night nappies until she was 5.

They also do size 3 which I imagine is big enough for night time for a five year old.

I promise I don't work for Little Lambs!

ValiumQueen · 26/07/2012 09:57

I would probably go for a size 3 as it would need a lot of stuffing. At the moment the disposables are leaking each night. She (2yo) does not wet the bed, but does a huge wee on waking. I have a broken leg so simply cannot get into her in time, and DH is too bloody lazy to change her or put her on the potty. Maybe after a few more mornings he will realise it is actually easier than mopping up the trail of wee, washing her, and all the toys she has soaked on the way.

Could you link to the offer for 10 little lambs for 35 please? I can't find it and the first link doesn't work. ( I'm on my phone)
Sorry for hijack! Blush

snala · 26/07/2012 14:37

I've found it now!!!! Thanks

ValiumQueen · 26/07/2012 15:01

I must admit I can only see the offer of 10 nappies for £115. Could you please do a linkey to the 10 for £35 offer, as I think I would give it a go. Thanking you in anticipation.

Just ordered 10 size 2 nappies in bamboo, and 4 wraps, and 10 boosters. Oops! They will be for DD2 now, at night, and if successful will try during the day too as may help with potty training if she gets used to feeling wet. I like the 'bombproof' description. I think I was quite restrained actually.

It will help me ease back into reusables, and I will try the boosters with DS and the Fuzzis.

Thank you for your help garden perhaps you should work for them!
