Worrying about the future - how to deal with it?

God I can get myself down so much when I start worrying about all the things that could happen! Worry about all sorts of things from something happening to me, or dh, or the children (God forbid!) to the world ending in some way or other... have these visions of having to break terrible news to the dd's and not being able to protect them... Sad Sad Sad
I don't think it helps that I'm pregnant atm and a bit hormonal. Anybody else worry like this? It drives me crazy sometimes!

yep! and unless we're the only 2 then i guess it's pretty normal! I'm sure the pg hormones make it worse though

I worry too, its only natural. I wasn't afraid of flying until I went on a plane with my two children, I then realised it was their lives I feared for not my own.

Oh yes! Utterly normal with the mix of pg hormones and anxieties about pg and childbirth added on top.

Glad to see I'm not the only one! I wish I could turn it off though...

had to stop watching the Natural World programme tonight when newborn calf was caught by a wolf. These kind of things set me off so easily when I'm pregnant. Shock

for me it's not the future exactly, it's just all the awful news stories about really awful things that people do in this world (I'm sure I don't need to give you examples). I just wonder if I was horrible to even bring my children into this world. I have to shove it out of my mind, turn those news stories off when they start. Too much to bear.
