Parents of more than one child....

How did you decide when the 'right time' came along to try for another baby? DS was a suprise (contraception failed) so have never had to actively decide to try for a baby! I think I'm ready to try for another, but it just seems scary to make such a life-changing decision... How did you decide to do it? Smile

I decided before ds1 was born that I would have another fairly quickly as I could have two together and get over all the sleepless nights and baby madness at the same time. They are 13.5 months apart.

Now at 3 and 4 I wonder what all the rush was about.

my 2nd was a suprise then for the 3rd i just thought well that age gap worked okay so will do the same again

dont think there is necessarily any "right" time

It was the first time DS1 slept for 5 uninterrupted hours.
We decided we could, after all, manage another.
He was 13 months old.
DS2 was born a year later.

I'm sure I'm over thinking it to be honest... If we had stopped to think before DS, we wouldn't have had him - couldn't afford it, needed a bigger house before kids etc etc, yet we have managed! Grin
