Dissertation help please!

I know what I'm doing it about, the texts and who my supervisor is.
I'm reading around it right now and looking for journal articles etc.

But what else should I be doing? When I go
back to Uni should I have an essay plan ready?
The supervising tutor is on leave at the mo or I'd ask her!

Although it's for sociology there's enough general stuff to be a useful guide.

Having a rough plan and timetable for when you go back is what I'm doing.

The key thing I took from it was keeping a record from the beginning of everything you read/scan/see/random thoughts in the middle of the night!
