First football match with 4 and a half yr old ds - ear defenders needed?

Afternoon all

We've got some olympic football tickets at Wembley so we're taking ds to his first football match. When I mentioned it to a friend, they said he needed to wear ear defenders. I hadn't even thought about this.
Any advice? If it was a concert we'd def get them but will a football match be too loud?

I think it would be pretty loud, it really depends on your ds, mine is super sensitive to noise and I'd definitely get him to wear a pair. We bought the pelter kids defenders on amazon for about £10 and they are very comfy and adjust from baby size to adult.

I wouldn't bother for that. Maybe for a big indoors concert, but I reckon you won't need them. We have taken dcs to football for years and it never crossed my mind. I did buy some if those Pelter ones fir a festival: DS wouldn't wear them, not fussed, but a friend's DS found them great. ,

I doubt it will be very loud, as there won't be two sets of opposing fans trying to out-chant each other. Or a band. Unless it's Team GB in the final of course.

DS has been coming to rugby since he was under 1 and never had an issue with the noise

I have 3 kids oldest 13 youngest 6.

They've all had season tickets for premier league since about 2/3. Never had much problem with noise. You may find he's not that interested in the football and more interested in people watching the crowd.
