How annoying are... (fake annoyance)

...mums that disguise a brag about their baby in the firm of an annoyance...for example "(sigh...rolls eyes...) I can't believe blah blah is crawling/walking at only x months ...urgh....s/he just on't sit still (cue eye roll)!"

Why don't they just say "oh guess what blah blah just crawled/walked!" I ind this fake annoyance thing a very odd way to brag(!)

I really do find it annoying when DD (5mo) finishes my Times crossword before i've had a chance to....Wink

Wow way to get worked up OP! People tell me all the time how advanced my DS is (crawled at less than 6m, cruised at less than 7m, oh yes, I can boast!). But, when I then say "I know but...." then talk about how difficult it can make life, which it can, I'm partly trying to express how I feel and partly trying to be non-boastful (can't remember the right word, sorry!) as compliments embarrass me. But now I'll just start worrying that they all think like you and think I'm a show off. So thanks for that!

Oh and I am v proud of my DS, of course. But it's the second time round for me so I am fully aware of the pitfalls of early mobility!

You should all be super proud of yourselves, you all sound like such lovely, mature and supportive people....you don't come across like bullies at all.....

Okay clearly this has got out of hand. Why don't we agree to disagree on this one? I believe some mums disguise brags as annoyance and you all don't believe this to happen.
I apologise for getting worked up and lets try and draw a line.
