Hello all,
We're on on our first family holiday with 4 month old DS this month - a week in self catering farm/cottage in Wales. WIll have a washing machine so I plan to take my washable nappies...really just looking for advice or tips from others who have used cloth on holiday.
I figure all I really need to get as an extra is a larger wetbag to use as a holiday nappy bucket, and maybe take some pegs to hang up nappies on the fences etc. Am also open to buying a few new nappies so I can go longer between washes while away (currrently wash every other day).

Does anyone have any advice on ways to make it easier on us all during the hols, or on particular types/brands of nappy that wouldn't take up too much room in our bags on the way there and back? We currently use a mix of bamboo terry squares, teddies, bumgenius and bumbles at night. (oh, and one fuzzi bunz)

TIA for any thoughts!

Hope you have a lovely holiday, don't count on the dry weather to be able to hang your nappies out though!! ;)

Is there a dryer? I just use nappy baggies and pile them up until there's a load, but on holiday couple weeks ago did 3 washes of nappies with wet bedding (dn didn't wake up in time 2 nights), but the dryer was vital.

I always take some disposables in case. Dd was 4 months and managed on 10 nappies and about 3 disps for a week. Plus a fair bit of nappy free time!

Curly it's depressing enough having damp nappies all over my house, maybe I should rethink! :)

There isn't a dryer notcitrus but it's a big warm farmhouse with an Aga (stayed there before). Should be ok drying indoors infront of that, but will take a while I guess. Will just take all the nappies we own and some disposables and hope for best. You never know it might suddenly be sunny and we can spend all day in swim nappy on the beach...
