Amazingly after a trial yesterday dh has said he prefers Muslins to everything else we've tried!! I think it's the slim fit, and not much folding for the newborn triangle fold. So I was just wondering how long the Muslins will work for, roughly speaking? Dd is 2wo and was 7.9lb at birth.

I would have thought another 3+ months, but after a while you double them up or add boosters to get more absorbency.
Are you doing something like the origami fold?

I'm not sure what the fold is called but I basically take the muslin square and fold into a triangle, three times to get a small enough triangle. It's quick enough to do per nappy change rather than fold them all in advance which I want to avoid!

Wow three months, that's quite a while! Grin

Why don't you want to pre fold the nappies? It makes nappy changing so much easier.
