Student Loans - what a bunch of fruit loops (I'm being super dooper polite!)

Just wanted to share this tale for two reasons:

1. For an outlet for others with awful student loans company experiences

2. To let people know that if you think they've made a mistake.... maybe they HAVE!!!

Right, so my ex moved out 2/3 of the way through my course. So obviously they wanted some of the dependent loan back... but they wanted 2/3 of it back. Problem is, that ex had moved out fairly late in the day (about 1/3/ of the way through the course). Having failed miserably to notice that they'd just funded me to train to be a maths teacher, the student loans company commenced the game of 'guess the fraction' with me. Unsurprisingly I won. In fact, they didn't even ask for the money that I'm pretty sure I should owe them. Ooooof! Bastards. They wanted to rip me off, and when that couldn't happen they just let it go, rather than asking for the correct amount. Odd.

In summary: GOOD LUCK TO ALL STARTING IN SEPT. XXXxxx

I think that Student England suffers from NHS/CSA syndrome - computers that cannot talk to each other.

Oh no. I've just applied for one (July) and I got an email back saying please submit all documentation by 31 May 2012. Not sure how I can go back in time and meet the deadline

They are unbelievable! They have already had to reassess my loans and grant once and I'm going back again for childcare. The number of times I have received final notifications alongside my final statement is ridiculous! I think if you can get anything out of them you deserve a 2:2.
