Anyone doing the English Masters course through OU?

I'm due to start in October. Have been reading the required texts slowly.
Has anyone here done this course or will be doing it?

Any advice? Pretty please? Halp!

I did it a few years ago but I think it's changed since then-mine was a 3 year course. I loved it :)

I finish my BA English Lit with the OU next year and I'm thinking of this afterwards...I'll squint my eyes in the hope this thread won't persuade me further!

I am! Grin

Am I too late? Have you given up?

How are you getting on with the set texts so far? I've read most not really and have watched the movie version of Coriolanus(!) I started out all enthusiastic but have been distracted by a Gothic/ghost story binge (been that sort of weather).

Hi! I am also doing the English MA course and don't know anyone else who is. Ideally I would like a study buddy -probably just chat every now and then to keep me motivated and in the loop!

I am in Rugby but not sure if there are any people nearby who want to meet up one or two or a few times a month just to catch up and keep each other going, as I have heard distance learning can be a real challenge!! Especially when you don't even see anyone else doing your course!

Let me know if you (or if anyone) would consider keeping in touch to touch base occasionally :)

Many thanks!

Hi frostbelle

I'm not too far from you (Kidderminster).

A study buddy sounds like a great idea. The hardest part for me will be keeping on track and not getting distracted by everything else in the world! My degree's from the last century so I'm hoping I can remember how to string an intelligent sentence together too.

Are you working at the same time?
