What lies have you told your kids recently?

My DP works just down the road and I have convinced my 2.5 year Ds that if I raise my voice DP can hear me at his office and I can hear him. This is v. helpful to end arguments and ask Daddy questions. In fact I am starting to prefer imaginary Daddy to real Daddy :)

What are other MN's harmless little fibs??

We had a Big Troll who lived in the bathroom wall. He used to come out and take dd's part during any arguments about washing and grooming. Big Troll just couldn't understand why hair had to be combed: accroding to him the birds don't mind if their nest is a little untidy. And of course trolls have no understanding of the concept of pouring water over yourself...

It made dd laugh and feel better about having to be washed and combed.

And Big Troll had 50 troll cubs who used to come out to have a rumpus with dd.
