Potty training, and Excema behind knees....

On the verge of trying to get Dd, nearly 3, into pants. Will be attemping it properly in a couple of weeks ( grandparents here for another couple of weeks, and I think we'll need to stay in for a few days once we banish the nappies till she can tell us she needs to go)....we are getting her to wear no nappies at home early morning/ late afternoon when we get in. She has peed in the potty once ( much praise, etc) today had her first accident and was howling. She has itchy patches behind her knees that flare up sometimes, sometimes clearer than others, but it never really completely goes away. Obviously the pee really hurt, I chucked her in the bath straight away and soapy water sorted it out. it's going to be hard when we are in the transition of nappies, to no nappies. I reckon I'll just have to take soapy flannels out with us wherever we go until she has it sussed.
Anyone has a similar problem? Any sneaky mumsnet superhints?
