Ds is the eldest dc in our family at 11 years old.
My older sister has three grandchildren they are aged between 2 and 5.
My sister lives right by me and of course her grandchildren get lots of attention off all the family they are very young after all and of course children are very cute when they are little.
They are forever getting little gifts offf everyone including my own parents who buy them little bits sometimes.
Ds told me today that nobody ever bothers with him and that none of them even have a photo of him intheir house but they all have photos everywhere of the little ones.
Its very true that ds has nefer really had the sort of attention that the little ones are getting even when he was the only dc in the family.
The little ones get taken out and about nobody has ever did that with my ds to this day.
I have tried to explain to ds that he should perhaps come out with me more where he will see the family but being a boy he is more interested in playing on his xbox or something he says that all they all talk about is the little ones saying that they are grteat kids etc this is true tbh they do.
Ds has said that the little ones have loads of family that are interested in them and pay them attnetion whereas he only has me and his dad and he says he would like more.
I am really upset about this he is my only one and sometimes I do wish he got much more attnetion however I fear that its too late now he is 12 this year.
