I think dd has just had a molar come through...

..but I can't tell as only one side of it is here - it is in the right place, and there is swelling behind it? Does anyone know if this is how they generally appear? She has just turned 1 - so about the right age for tooth number 9 to be a molar?

That sounds about right, dd is 14 months and she has 2 molars at the top now and only one of them is fully through the gum, she has 2 bottom ones ready to come through any early morning day now.

Sound like it, dd is just cutting her last and thats how hers came through
