Anxious

I've recently just come out of hospital after being diagnosed with bi polar.

I spent 6 weeks in hospital in which time I totally lost my confidence with my 10month old girl.

I have the day alone with her today and I feel a bit anxious about it! Crazy I know! What do other mums dads do with 10month old?

I'm just going to let her play in living room , then a friend is coming over in the afternoon so we can go for a walk.

I don't know why I feel so anxious about it. I think it's because I haven't been left alone with her since I've been ill.

Before I was ill I was super confident and had her all day every day.

Any thoughts/suggestions really welcome

My day with my 9 month DD sounds like yours. Usually in the morning I just do breakfast, short nap and then either play in the living room, take a quick walk to the shops, or bring my DD around the house with me as I try to tidy up.

After her lunch and nap I usually try to have something to do. We go swimming once and week, and a baby group on another day. On the days we don't have planned stuff, I arrange to go to friend's houses or have them come and visit me, or I do a big supermarket shop, or go to the library or the park.

Is that any use to you? My day doesn't look very exciting written down like that. I'm sure other people will be doing much more exciting stuff.
