Big dilemna... I need help!!

DS aged 9 has had a tooth fall out and has written a fabulous letter to the tooth fairy, which would bring a tear to your eye. He wrote one 2 years ago when his last tooth fell out and I wrote a reply back.

Now DH has said its time to draw a line, and he says not to write a reply this time, just put the money under pillow.

Its breaking my heart as dont want to end this wonderful fantasy, but yet know in my heart that all the rest of his streetwise friends are sure to know its not true. if het gets a reply he will be telling them all about it at school and am worried they will laugh at him and tell him its me, and that will just hurt him so much more.

Help!

Write back! He won't believe for much longer. It's lovely while it lasts.

My little sister believed in Father Christmas for much longer than most kids because we all kept it going for her. She stuck to it despite the streetwise friends and I think she may have caused them some doubts. Smile

Awww write the letter

DSD is 11 in a week and still believes in Santa and the tooth fairy

We know we will have to tell her but she only has 3 baby teeth left so we think whats the harm she has already sussed the Birthday Bear and Easter bunny though

Write back. Our children are already made to grow up so fast.

I had shut computer down so thanks to all for your replies. In the end I didn't reply but put £2 under pillow instead of normal £1 as was his first big tooth..... Thankfully he just came down hyper this morning about this, and then just said the tooth fairy mustnt have had time to reply this time. Will definitely make sure she does the next time. Thks again
