Washables at nursery - any advice?

Due back to work in September and using washable nappies on DS (now 6 months). Happy to send washables to nursery, they are happy to use them too and I've sorted out in my head what I think I need to send in with him and what the logistics of washing will be.

Any tips? Also, we use washable wipes at home and have to supply wipes to nursery. Should we just go for disposable wipes as the poo on paper liner will go into nursery's nappy bags for the bin and I'm just picturing them not being able to marry this up with a washable wipe if you picture the nappy change process. Or is it possible you think?

why not start out trying washable wipes.... if it isnt working you can always change to disposable.

Nurseries should be working with you to make your wishes happen, and using cloth and water (rather than nasty chemicals) to clean your babies bum is not an unreasonable request, so Im sure they can make it work for you.

Fair point nannyl and you're right. I have a good relationship with nursery as DD goes there (3.9) but we never used washables with her. They will tell me if it isn't working I suppose.

Our nursery used washable nappies with DS2 and now with DS3 and they have always been fine with the washable wipes too. They just put them inside the nappy when they roll it up and put it in the wetbacg.

Apart from the occasional rolled-up poo which they left in to surprise us (!) it has never been a problem.

yes I've found they're quite happy with the washable wipes. But they havent got the idea of putting the poo in their loo yet! I may need to spell this out :(
Maybe they change the babies in an area which doesnt have a toilet? Not ideal :(

I would prob give them the all in one reusables just to make it easier for anyone new to the cloth nappy stuff
