My son is a talented sports player and plays for his county in two sports. This week he has appeared unmotivated to engage with anything apart from TV and I am starting to worry. He played for his county and his performance was not good. Is something wrong with him? Should we suggest he gives up? really at a loss and it is upsetting the whole family

Have you spoken to him ?maybe he has just split up with his girlfriend or something or someone might be bullying him or maybe he's tired or growing or it's the first time he's not done excellently well - rememeber he is a teenager this sounds normal to me.
