14 mo nappy system

Having used lovely fitted bamboo nappy + wrap between 2-5months I stopped using them for a few reasons: drying time (I dry outdoors only), bulkiness (I have DS and they just didn't fit under trousers), wriggleness (DS started getting more mobile at nappy changing time!). So I've been using disposables ever since :(

Now it's summer again, I would like to start again, but the nappies are too small I think (DS is 21 lbs and about 75 cms tall - but not chubby). The rikki wrap scratches his thighs. Any recommendations for a daytime reusable nappy system? The nappy lady has some lovely looking Wizard Duo nappies - anyone used these? In just a year, there are already so many new products on the market! So confusing! Any comments gratefully received.

Bump. No one can recommend a cloth nappy for a 14 month old?

I use motherease Wizard Uno and absolutely love them. They stay dry, never leak and are so easy to use. I've noticed that these are the ones nursery keep using :) so it must be their favourite too. I had to keep hunting for special deals as they are so expensive!

I only have 5 but if you are intending on part time use or washing everyday then 6 is more than enough as they dry overnight. I wanted to wash every 2-3 days so I have loads of Little Lamb Bamboo, TotsBots EasyFit & Stretchies, RealEasy and Motherease One Size.

I think if I had to recommend another system other than Motherease Uno, I'd probably say Little Lamb Bamboo with Motherease Airflow wrap as you can get loads of the little lamb bamboo nappies quite reasonably priced at the moment. But if cost wasn't an issue, I'd probably get totsbots stretchies with motherease airflow wrap.

I started using cloth when DS2 was 12+months and have been using it for around 3 months now.. hope this has been helpful.

Thanks a lot for the reply. I now realise the nappy (nature babies' bambini) still fits fine actually - it's the wrap that is too small. I have some LLs but find the rise far too short.

I still think I'll buy some of the duo, especially after your review - I just didn't see them when I was choosing the nappy system last year. They look great. Where do you look for special deals??? Many thanks :)

The LL wraps do look quite small (I've got some samples that I take round to show people but not used it on DS so wouldn't really know the fit on my chubby boy).

I didn't really like the Duo after watching videos.. but it's only because DS2's poo consistency isn't that great, so I'd have to purchase as many wraps as I would the insert. The wrap on Uno would get a teeny tiny bit of poo on it if DS2 did big-ish poos. But I can see for most people, the duo would probably be quite a good system.

Bought some from Green-Me but think they were just clearing stock then, and bought most from Clean Green Nappy Machine during the Nappy Week sale.. Hope you manage to find something reasonable. :)
