... DD (3y10m) calls out to me and gives me this telling me she loves me

Her eyes are all sore and puffy with conjunctivitud, she is feeling a bit sorry for herself too, bless her.

And, although I know she knew how to spell MUM, until this evening I never knew she could spell MUMMY too.

I love being a mummy some days you know!

Thats fab hula, I looked at your other pics aswell, doesnt your DD look like you when you were younger?

I didnt want to put my DD to bed earlier, she was cuddled up to me on my bed watching Teletubbies playing with my hair

I went up there all ready to put on my firm "You must go to sleep now! type voice, even though I know she is uncomfortable with her eye and all that. But I melted! She has gone quiet now again though, so hopefully going to sleep.

sooo cute

Hulababy · 21/02/2006 23:04

She is fast asleep, cuddled up to her little teddy looking so sweet and perfect!

Let's hope she remains all sweet and angelic tomorrow when we are home all day with no nursery!

Hula
I'm a HUGE sucker for DD1s twee voice. She knows how to pull my strings, too. When she says 'C'mon, mummy!' I just can't resist her!

Twiga · 21/02/2006 23:16

Hula, that's lovely !

Hulababy · 22/02/2006 08:08

They know how to do it don't they?!

DD woke at 4 with itchy eyes and they were all gunked up. So I cleaned them and she came for a cuddle in my bed and ended up sleeping there. But she was so cuddly

if it wasn't for dh i'd have him in bed with us every nite as he's so cuddly and smells gorgeous - actually maybe not every night!

PINKKIMMYLOU · 22/02/2006 11:59

I find it hard to stay cross when DD gives me that doey eyed look and says "what's wrong mummy?" I banged my elbow yesterday and she kissed it better!!! It just makes it all seem worth while xxx

Hulababy · 22/02/2006 12:02

She is very cuddly today. Her eyes are still sore and I think the are bothering her. She keeps coming to me for kisses and cuddles.

Mind you at the moment she is playing with her Happy Land toys. We have set the whole lot up - all 5 boxes of it(!) - with thee raod and rail as well. She is busy having adventures and fantasy play with them. The people are busy at work, off on holiday and having hospital emergencies. The mummy has just had a baby boy called George too. LOL! I could listen to her playing like this all day. So funny!

How lovely hula! Hope she feels better soon.
I have a piece of paper in my purse from ds, who was inspired by a Newsround report on a letter from a Battle of Trafalgar cabin boy to his mother. He talks very earnestly about the great challenge ahead and then finishes the letter with a picture of his face to kiss because he knows she misses him. I think he was 12.
Ds' face-to-kiss is executed in bright pink, blue and yellow felt tip, and thank goodness he is in Year 2 not facing cannon-fire off the coast of Spain...

Fullmoonfiend · 22/02/2006 12:42

oh Marina, that's made me well up!

Hulababy · 22/02/2006 12:43

That is so lovely Marina.

The cabin boy in question survived Trafalgar unscathed and went on to become Admiral Collingwood, one of our greatest naval commanders. I thought it was a lovely story, and ds obviously did too

Hulababy · 22/02/2006 22:24

That is a great story Marina!
