Tubs of playdough

If you make your own playdough, you can kill two birds with 1 stone - arty/crafty and cooking/baking

Oh no, Soapbox, I thought pancake day was last tuesday, and I beat myself up for missing it! Had pancakes on Wednesday to make up for it, and now I hear I have missed it again!

On the subject of this thread though, I don't do play do anymore, but my DSs do. Just tip a box of playdo tools on the table, with a big tub of playdo and i don't have to do anything! Perhaps some exciting shrieks of encouragment here and there: Wow, how well you cut that sausage up! etc

Jamie Oliver says it's next week as well. You must be right then, pouch. What will I eat tomorrow now?

hugeheadofhair · 21/02/2006 22:24

I'm a generally very happy SAHM but have recently created a spreadsheet (proof that i am in fact bored ) colour coded to record everything i do during the day. I have found out that a) I spend a lot more time on the computer than I thought. b) My concentration span when doing anything 1-1 with dd is about half an hour, after that I start getting twitchy. (Thankfully dd's concentration span on 1 thing is about the same!!) c) but to make me feel better about that, dd follows me around when i am doing anything other than playing with her more than i thought, so she ends up getting involved in most things i do (housework eg).

Yes being a full time SAHM is sometimes very boring, very tedious, etc, but I love it and i have managed to avoid much arts & crafts .keep meaning to get out the play doh/scissors & glue etc but it feels such a hassle - but i will confess to actually enjoying it once i am doing it!

Bourneville...'productivity' spreadsheets? lists within your posts? you are on the slippery road back too work I think

bourneville · 22/02/2006 18:12

lol. i just love spreadsheets, statistics etc. but yes, coincidentally i am thinking about going back to work soon, weighing up the pros & cons right now. also have a for my spendings etc, it calculates what i spend in each category each week! although this is a necessity as i need to budget v carefully!

pouchofdouglas, usually dd's VERY IRRITATING CDs are on.
