Glasses with dinosaur frames?

Hi Folks,
Has anyone out there seen any child's glasses with dinosaur frames? Googling has not revealed anything. DS1 is 5 and has been told he will need to wear glasses full time. He's fine with this so long as the frames have dinosaurs on them.
Any ideas?
Thanks!

Could you get some transfers and put these on to a pair?? If they scratch off - brill he just gets to choose some new dinosaurs

No help but when I read your thread title I sung in my head "Dinosaur fraaame" in the style of Dinosaur Train. This will only make sense if you are regularly subjected to cbeebies. And maybe not even then.

Hahaha that does make sense. Dinosaur train is youtube or PBS though, never seen it in the uk on tv Sad lovely program!
Not a dino frame to be had! Transfers/stickers have been deemed unacceptable; great idea though!

Have you googled custom made children's glasses ?

DingbatsFur · 29/05/2012 20:54

Googled several different combinations but nothing dino related. How can there not be dinosaur glasses, god knows there is dino everything else. www.everythingdinosaur.com/

Maybe look for some dinosaur sunglasses and see if the optician can change the lenses? A friend of mine had her lenses put into some vintage frames she found on a carboot, might work for you?

Have you found these links already:
blogpost wherein someone uses the tips and techniques in this tutorial to customise some glasses with hand-painted dinosaurs and ROAR!s?

DingbatsFur · 29/05/2012 22:48

Oooo beautiful!! Those are lovely!
Not sure I trust myself to paint a pair of frames though Sad

The sunglasses suggestion is great too but I can only find cheap 1.99 ones. Gahhhh I give up.
Thanks though

I have an artist friend who does commissions for this sort of thing (she's made some lovely stuff as gifts for DS) - I'll PM you.
