Not sure what to do with potty training DD.

I've been trying to potty train DD (now aged 3.1) since last summer (nothing too intensive, just suggesting she goes on the potty, occasionally wearing pants etc) but this last week I've been really trying to train her. I've had her in pants, put the potty right close to her but she just doesn't seem to get the idea. She's willing to sit on the potty but only once have we had a wee in it (we rewarded her with stickers, lots of praise etc). She knows when she has a poo coming but gets upset (like she knows that she's supposed to be doing it in the potty but then she does it in her pants).
Short of actually strapping her to the potty, I really don't know what to do! Any ideas?
