Best fitting nappies for big bellied, skinny legged babies

I'm getting tired of leaky nappies - they always leak from the leg when LO pees and is on her side.

She's not a chubby baby, but is long and thin for her age (8 weeks) with a massive belly (lots of wind :) ) She's in Pampers size 1 but they sit like hipsters because of her belly. Huggies were just as bad for leaking.

Any suggestions?

You could be describing my 4wk old DD. Grin

I was sent some Aldi Mamia nappies by Mumsnet as part of the trial, and they're brill!!

We've had no leaks since we started using them, and they've contained some serious poo-splosions. Smile

Best part - they're £3.49 for 44. Bargain. Grin

I sound like an advert!!

It sounds like they're just too small. My ds is 6 weeks, equally long with skinny legs and is in size 2, soon to go into size 3. If his nappies don't go up to at least his belly button then they'll leak ime. As for leg leaks, make sure the nappy is properly folded out when you put it on- get the 'frills' all on the outside of the nappy iyswim.

I should say, I've been trialing the aldi nappies too and agree they're good. I'm using them interchangably with Pampers and while the aldi ones feel slightly less cushiony and soft, performance wise they're fine.

Pampers are awful, i have always had leaks with them!
Huggies give my LO nappy rash too, so much for best brandsAngry
I flit between using Lidls nappies and tescos version of activ fit and Asdas are also quite good, it depends where i shop.
Pampers leaked with all my dcs, except my pfb as they were better quality back then 2003 2were chubby, 2 were skinny- just dont buy them they are crap.
They charge high prices for cheaply made tosh

I'll give Aldi a go.

I thought that too FFFF, but I'm obsessive very careful about making sure the frilly bit is out, and that the inner bit is sitting against her leg. I did try size 2 (she's on the small size for them) but they were even more bulky in the under carriage than size 1 and baggier around the leg.

She really isn't the typical chubby/stocky baby shape, which I think is half the problem.

It's a lottery isn't it? It's as bad as finding a good fitting pair of jeans! Grin
