Shocked at sight of 7 year old smoking in park

Took ds and his mate over the park there was a group of kids on the play area think some of them knew each other they probably ranged from 7 years up to 12.
They were if I can be excused for saying so a bit rough alot of swearing etc.
I noticed one child take something out of this pocket and then take a lighter to it and then I realised he was smoking.
One of the other lads was being all loud swearing etc saying look at him Mr bad guy smoking at 7 years of age the lad did look 7 at the most.
I just couldn,t believe it and where are the parents whilst their son is puffing away on a cigarette at such a young age totally unsupervised.
Ds was very put off and didn,t want to stay.

Gor' blimey! Unsupervised under-age smoking? It's like something out of Dickens. You never know, he could have been a very tiny 14 year-old, his growth stunted by bad habits like smoking. Where are the parents? Probably at home thinking 'at least he's not on the vodka'. Obviously you walk right on by....
