Help! dd (2.1) has decided to start potty training out of the blue...

She's had a potty for AGES but refused to even sit on it with a bare bum. She liked standing in it, but that was about it. Then yesterday, without really thinking about it, I bought some Kandoo tissues (her 'big cousin' has them, thought they might help) and told her she could use them herself when she peed in the potty.
She immediately asked to pee in the potty, and succeeded after five minutes, a drink and some TV.
Today, three pees in the potty - basically, whenever I stick her on it: she's not asking to wee, not sure if she knows when she needs to.
Does this mean she's ready? Not ready?!? I wasn't ready one bit, but its her pee so I suppose she gets to choose
Should I just put her on potty after meals for a few days as preparation? Doesn't feel quite right to go straight to big girl pants yet...
Help...
