Does DD, 2.5, need a special junior pillow?

Hello,

Apologies for what might be a silly question but does DD need a special junior pillow or is an adult one fine for her? (Yes DD is PFB, but that also means I have no experience on these things!)

We're moving her into a single bed. Shes healthy, happy and average to tall for her age depending on what guide we go by.

I've seen junior pillows for sale, is one necessary or are they just marketing? Hoping fellow mumsnetters can enlighten me.

Many thanks

Katy

No, a normal pillow is just fine.

We just got DD a normal pillow but ended up replacing her first quite luxurious (and therefore thick) pillow with a cheapo thin supermarket one as she just didn't look comfortable on a thick pillow. The angle just seemed too steep IYKWIM

God no.

Both DS moved into beds at 14mths with normal bedding.

Normal pillow, but thin as better for DD's neck.

As long as it's thin it should be fine. Ds has his old cot one in his bed.
