We have a cinema night, make tickets, with date time etc, popcorn in cinema type containers.

Does anyone else have ideas of fun things which they do with their dcs?

Gardening together. Provide child with trowel, gloves, wellies and a patch of earth and they're quite happy while you plough up and down with the lawnmower or whatever. Longest worm contests a personal favourite.

Playing Cinderella with 4yo DS1 = doing the housework!

My ds loves having an indoor picnic. You could tie this in with making a shopping list or cooking things to eat if you wanted to. Or make invites and invite toys or friends and family to come?

Treasure hunt with minimum prep. Give them a carrier bag and a list of things to find and collect. Is good in teams or 'working together as a team'. Collect things like a feather, some moss, black stone etc
