Confirmation, what gift to take for a boy?

we have been invited to a confirmation for a friends son and I just dont have a clue what gift to give. Any ideas please?

My DD is being confirmed in June. I never even considered she'd get a present.
She is almost 11, she would like tokens or money. Dull but true.
