help needed with thinking of a question for my research project plan

hi,, hope you can please help me. i have to plan a research project, i am not actually doing the project just planning it. it has to be research with chidren (looking at young / primary school children) and can be about anything related to them. i was thinking along the lines of children with special needs/medical conditions/disabilities that you cannot see when you look at them. ie if they were in a group of children you couldnt say that is X because he/she has.............

my son is like that, he has special needs due to a genetic condition but you would never know if you saw him in the street.

i am also thinking along the lines of stranger's attitudes towards them, ie how they can be quite offensive to the parents without knowing the situation, ie the man that tells your child to sit down and stop messing about on the bus when your child is hyperactive etc.

my problem is that i dont know what my question will be in order to plan a method of setting about answering it (dont have to actually answer it just have to show how i would go about finding evidence to answer it).

thanks for your help

How about researching how a particular unseen disability is reported in the media in the last ten years e.g. autism or dyslexia.

Could look at printed media, online media and perhaps films. All that stuff about MMR and other such theories.
