So does anyone have any top tips for getting dissolveable steroids into a 15 month old? I'm imagining it will taste vile and she will not be willing - oh and she's not a big eater at the best of times, least of all when ill so disguising in food probably isn't an option.

Help please!

Can you dissolve them in jam then spoon them in?

A medicine dummy, dissolve in only a small amount of water, put some in the dummy and push the syringe bit in. They sell them in boots, £7 but IMO worth every penny.

I have given 18 month old DS dissolvable steroids a number of times. Unfortunately he gets bad post viral wheeze / asthma.
Put tabs in small bowl add as little water as possible (probably around 3 - 4 mils) wait until fully dissolved. suck into syringe feeder. Feed into side of baby's mouth (they will automatically swallow). Twice should be enough to get all dose in. Hope baby feels better soon :)

try adding apple juice to a few mls of water to dissolve them in to hide the taste????

Or dissolve in small amount water/juice and mix into yoghurt or pot of fruit purée. Always worked for my DS! x

Syringe them in and quickly pop in a choc button. Thats how I got medicine into mine when they were little.

I always dissolved them in the smallest amount of orange/apple juice possible (about 3ml) - don't bother watering it down, then syringe in the side of the mouth with the head tipped back, followed swiftly by something that tastes nice - chocolate, sweet, anything - they do taste foul!
