Hi,
I have just joined and hoping for any advice.
i am 30 weeks pregnant and had to go into hospital 2 days ago due to bleeding.
Everything is ok with the baby but i was surprised when one of the doctors was sure the head was engaged.
So surprised that i forgot to ask if this was normal and does it mean baby could arrive early?

Any help greatly appreciated

I remember asking the midwife if it was a sign things could happen early as with DS2 his head was engaged much earlier than usual, can't remember how early but probably around 30-33 weeks.

She said No and he was 6 days late in the end!

Ds1 head was engaged at 27 weeks, but didn't make an appearance until 38 weeks.

Both mine had heads engaged at about 30-31 weeks, but were both about 2 weeks late.
