ds weeing on toilet without spraying everywhere!

My ds is 34 months old and has been potty trained since last summer. He now goes on the toilet but I always end up having to help him otherwise he manages to spray wee everywhere! He has a child seat on the toilet. He is now having trouble when he goes to playschool and has had to go back to using potty there. Also - he always takes off trousers and pants otherwise he can't get on the toilet and this isn't helping him at playschool either. Any tips?? Thanks!

yes, I agree standing can be much easier (if the child likes it) because they are still at the age where their penis doesn't really hang down nicely (too tiddly!) in the loo if they sit on those child seats!

He's still very young but try and encourage him to check (if he stands up) to make sure his penis is pointing in the right direction - sometimes it gets all crunched up in their underpants and they go to do a wee, pull everything down and find it's firing left or right but certainly not down!

If you try the standing up method stick a pingpong ball in the loo to give him something to aim at. It won't get flushed away either!
