Help! Despite all my best efforts to skip the nursery rhymes and hope my ds would turn to pop songs (yes I know it was cruel but I hate nursery rhymes) the nursery he goes to say he's really started to enjoy singing nursery rhymes and doing all the actions but I don't know any. Is there a book/cd for all of this?

Selja, the Fun Song Factory videos are really good for songs and actions.

Selja, I have just bought a book from Asda called The Nursery Collection, it has some stories and all the rhymes together with actions illustrated. Really good value for under £5.00 for a thick hard back book.

playtime rhymes for little people by clare beaton, lots of action rhymes (with instructions) and beautifully illustrated! £10.39 from amazon.co.uk

hope this helps!

The ELC do some really good tapes with books that go with them: Oranges and Lemons is a good one, also Round and Round the Garden, they have pictures of the actions that you need to do.Ask the nursery to let you know what his favourites are, perhaps they will offer to write them down for you? "This Little Puffin" is quite good aswell.Good luck with learning..
