Advice on bed for 2.5 year old, currently still in cot

Hi all,

DD is 2.5 and is still sleeping in her cot as she has currently shown no interest in climbing out.

However, we're thinking we should really move her into a more 'proper' bed, especially as sooner or later she will stop wearing nappies at night, and also I really can't believe she won't start to climb out soon.

Can any of you offer any advice? Did you go for a normal full size bed or a junior bed? Any recommendations gratefuly recieved.

Many thanks

Katy

My DS never climbed out of his cot ever. In fact, I don't think he's ever left his bed during the night except for dire emergencies! So I don't think you should wait for that. DS went from a cot to a small, low-level bed when he was about 2 and a full-size single from age 4.5

both mine went into a full sized single bed with a bed guard - dd at 2y and ds at 2½ years.

DD went straight from a cot to a highish single bed without a bed guard at 2.8. I would just go for a normal bed, saves buying 2!
