dd has always used CBBC and Nick jr websites etc and no problems....now she is 8 and her friend joined her on to 'Moveistar Planet' she has been on it everyday and as far as I could see it was just a virtual world where they make themselves a character, go shopping etc etc but yesterday I notice she was getting messages and it also has a chat feature! ....people saying they are 'hot' and 'sexy' and I pulled her off and she got really upset, tried to talk to her about it being inappropriate and people not always who they say they are etc but lots of her friends seem to be one it! suddenly I feel very vulnerable and I want her to enjoy the wonders of the web and have fun but this is the first time I have ever had to encounter the real risks to her first hand and I panicked........
