My 2 dd's have been invited to their classmates ( 1 in each class) house for first time- I don't know the family at all really, new to the school with their nanny in sole charge. Parents are out of town on business trips. I feel a bit like this is a bit strange. Can the nanny really be expected to look after 5 children ( their are 3 altogether in the other family). She looks very young and quiet from what I have briefly seen at school pick ups. Don't know what to do

i would think it was fine tbh, i have 5 children!

can you stay for a bit when you drop them off to check all is ok, or are they going straight after school?

assuming the nanny wouldnt have invited them if she thought it would be a problem :)

Yes I know I think I am just concerned that they got invited by the mum and i said yes before she told me the parents wouldn't be there and the nanny would be in charge. I will take them there myself and settle them as that would put my mind at rest. They are only 6 and 4 and quite hyper! so just wanted someone to be able to handle them and make sure they were playing safely etc..
