I am in the process of organising a first birthday party for 8 babies next weekend.

I have venue, food decs etc all organised, but can anyone recommend any games or anything? There are going to be toys like ball pool etc.

Help!

Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

Bubbles?
Huge pieces of paper on the floor with paint, get babies to stand in paint, walk across paper, handprints, fingerpainting and the end result = cute photos of paint covered babies and a masterpiece for mum to keep!
Ahem... I know, other parents would probably flip about the mess, but the one year old's love it!

Also, singing games, clapping games, generally mum&baby dancing. Grin I find they love things that glow in the dark age about 1-2 years too.

Just marking my place - will be sorting out my lo's 1st birthday party soon (date confirmed today!) Smile

Ooh I'm liking the bubbles idea. Not sure about the paint as I have paid a hefty deposit for the room hire Blush.

Will look into clapping games etc and see if any of the other mums have a portable cd player to use or something.

At age one the babies won't actually be taking part very much. Usually parties for such little ones are more for the adults than the children in question. So I wouldn't worry too much about keeping the babies entertained. You may find that half of them sleep through most of it anyway.

I'm thinking of going for a 'sensory' type party, so can incorporate bubbles into that, am also thinking colourful windmills, ribbons/streamers for them to run through, a paddling pool if it is warm enough.... ermmm still thinking...

That sounds lovely :) I'm sure they'll be exhausted after that.
