Do you use pampers active fit? Help!

I bought a pack for the first time as they were on offer. Noticed that they have a very strong "chemically" smell to them (I usually use babydry on a night and reusables in the day). DS2 had one of them on for an hour and a half. I've just been to change him ready for bed. The nappy has been weed in.

He has patches of a pinprick rash on his genitals and the inside of his thighs at his scrotum is red raw - it looks almost like a mild chemical burn. He's never had nappy rash before, and he isn't unwell. I've given him a cool bath and smothered him in sudocrem.

Do these nappies generally smell so strongly of chemicals? The babydry ones don't smell at all. I'm going to email pampers tonight too and see what they say.

Thanks in advance.

My DS is allergic to the lining in Active fit, and had a rash much like the one you describe. We started using Huggies Naturals and the rash disappeared. Pampers sent me more vouchers for active fit when i complained! Hmm

Thank you. I wrote them a snotty email last night. They've asked me to send in a couple of nappies "for testing" and that they'll send me vouchers to compensate the cost of the nappies.

There seem to have been a lot of people with the same experience - I spent a while this morning googling.

DD has the same reaction to Active Fit and Morrisons own brand. Huggies Naturals are brilliant for her sensitive skin, though
