Playdate ideas please

Hi - I'm looking for playdate ideas please - my Dd has a friend coming over this afternoon for play and tea. They are 8.

When my Dd goes to her house they do so much fun stuff like baking cakes - id like to make the playdate at ours fun too - but how? This is the first time this friend will have come to us. Thanks in advance.

paint their nails and do their hair? Let them build a den? take them out somewhere?

At that age they like playing in their bedroom while you sit downstairs with mumsnet and a cuppa !
When they get fed up stick a DVD on, draw curtains, give out sweets and have a cinema afternoon
