I too have a 7 year old TDD who from the moment she was born has not stopped talking even when I ask her to she never does, unlike my TDS who cannot get a word in. The teachers tell me it is a sign of intelligence - I would just like to take her batteries out once and a while. Grin

God yes - and DS (3) isn't much better.

But the subject matter with DD is much more annoying, as is her affectation of raising her voice at the end of every phrase like it's a question (and I don't know who that comes from but if I ever find them I will kill them very very slowly)

"Today in schoool (raise voice), we were playing a gaaaaame (raise voice) and I was the teacheeeeer (raise voice) and BF was the head teacheeeeeer (raise voice), and otherBF was the giiiiiirl (raise voice), and she hadn't done her homewooooooork (raise voice) and and and and ................

AAAAAAAARGHHH

Sometimes I can tune it out but at other times I do have to confess to just telling her to stop speaking (and the other day did resort to 'can you pleases just shut-up" which I then felt guilty for - but it was during The Voice !)

I had one who talked nonstop, or so it seemed, from 10m til about 8 or 9. At one point I was convinced she had verbal adhd. It used to drive me crazy. but recently she's somehow morphed into a fairly quiet 10yo. I think she finally learned to think with her mouth shut. Life is a lot easier.
