toddler and blanket problems need help!

Ok this is the normal toddler attachment to blanket thing however is causing problems because my toddler sleeps with the same blanket every night. He does not need or care about it in the day. However it is a small crib sized blanket and is now not covering him very weLl. He refuses to sleep with anything else covering him even if the blanket goes on first. Dh has to sneak in later to put his big blanket or duvet on him depending on how cold it is. This sometimes wakes him and then he still won't take a bigger blanket. Any ideas??

Thick pyjamas? Gro-bag?

If he's happy without anything else, then I'd leave him be to be honest. Even if you get more blankets on him, he could just kick them off.

Have you tried putting extra layers of clothes on him so the covers are not so important? Maybe thermals under pyjamas?

Fleecy pyjamas? Then introduce a duvet when you move to a bed?

Thanks guys he already wears fleecy pjs and we had to take him out of the grow bag cos he hated it once he could stand up. Just he is very attached to the blanket and so long now his feet stick out the bottom. He does have socks on in bed. I guess he is ok maybe I am just overly worrying. Guess it won't matter so much soon with the warmer weather coming.

You can buy fleecy onesies that have feet so the dc can walk around.I am sure they go to age 3.
