My ds is 2.4 years old. He's been potty trained in the day for several months now and the peeing thing was easy. Pooing is quite different. Can't remember if it started just before or just after potty training but he now goes several days without pooing. When he finally does get round to it it's a real trauma - lots of screaming and shouting, tugging his willie, standing up and stamping. he doesn't seem constipated because it's very soft, but also unformed - a bit like a cowpat - and quite smelly (like his farts!). I tried to get to the bottom of it the other day and he SAID (in rudimentary toddler speak) that his willie hurts (I suppose he could mean balls aswell?!). Once the whole process gets going he seems to just get down to pushing it out but the start is very drawn out and painful (like this message).
Should I just go to the doc or can anyone out there help?
