When dc was aged between 0-5 years, there was lots of help for me. I don't have a mum who can help me, so I had the NCT, health visitor, toddler groups, books (there are lots of books for this age range) and websites to guide me, parenting wise. I am very grateful for the services I have received to date. However, now that my dd is 8 years old, I feel somewhat abandoned! There doesn't seem to be any book, website or charitable group which specialises in the 7/8 to 11 year group.

There's the school and mumsnet, and that's it from what I can gather. I would welcome any suggestions!
