Warning children about the dangers of child abuse

I'm listening to the radio and they're talking about how 70% of child abuse cases happen within the family and there are some horrific tales of what has happened to some children within their family.

My children are aged 6 & 7 and I've taught them about stranger danger a bit but not ever said anything about someone in the family or a friend who could harm them.

Are they too young for this talk? I don't want to put the thought into their heads and yet I want them to know what to do should something awful like that happen.

From what I understand, the best things to do are:
Teach your children about good v's bad touching.
Allow your children to say no to things like being kissed, hugged and tickled even by old great aunt whatsherface.
Listen to your children.
Build up their self esteem so they don't have to seek external validation.

You don't have to scare them by saying that there are people who want to hurt them, just that if anyone makes them feel uncomfortable they can talk to you about it.

Teach them that their bodies are their's and their's alone. No-one should ever touch them in a way that makes them feel uncomfortable. No-one has the right to kiss them unless they want to be kissed, that rule applied to ALL relatives in our family. Teach them it is ok to say no and teach them to tell, dad raised us to know surprises were ok but secrets might not be. Mum was sexually abused and secrecy was her abusers's best friend (multiple abusers).

If you have a look at Mme Lindor's blog, she has some very good suggestions on this.
Did try to find it, but can't seem to figure my way around the blogging section ATM.
