So I've just had ds who is nearly 6 weeks. Today I have hit the wall of sleep deprivation hell and just keep crying this evening. I have 2 other dc's who are 6 and 4 (the eldest was ill today, just to cap it all!) DH went running for an hour (he told me 30 mins Angry and ds would not settle and kept crying. I did not eat, which always makes me feel worse. I feel emotionally rung out. I'm hoping tomorrow will be better. Sorry for the rant, but just needed to get it out before I go crazy. Thanks for reading my woes!

What an awful day, hope you feel better after your rant. No idea if it, life, parenthood gets easier but there are always good days and bad, you deserve a good day now!

My ds is 8 weeks 2 weeks ago he was feeding every 3 hours now he goes 6 hours then 4 through the night 6 weeks is when they say it starts getting easier and it did for me. Hope that makes you feel better

Buy some cereal bars they can be eaten one handed :)

Yes please make sure you eat, if you aren't getting sleep you need something to keep you going. Cereal bars, smoothies and sliced ham / cheese you can stick in a wrap can all be consumed over a crying babies head. Millionaire shortbread bars also good I find.

And it does get easier, they do stop crying as much and sleep a bit more and start doing cute things so you forgive them for the early days.
